The Best Path Forward—For You

In the aftermath of the January 2025 wildfires that devastated Pacific Palisades, thousands of families are facing a critical decision: should you sell your damaged lot as-is, rebuild and own, or rebuild and sell later for a higher return? While selling your lot may seem like the fastest and simplest route, there’s a big financial catch. Investors typically offer far less than a property’s full potential value, often paying 55–80% below what a rebuilt home could sell for. That could mean leaving over $1 million on the table.

Rebuilding and reselling, on the other hand, opens the door to significant financial upside. New homes in the Palisades can sell for $6–8 million, especially when rebuilt to modern standards with more square footage. While the process does involve some complexity—permits, insurance, construction, and time—it also offers homeowners a chance to recoup far more value. Even after costs, many homeowners stand to gain $1–3 million more than if they’d simply sold the lot.

The key is having the right support. Professionals like architects, general contractors, and real estate brokers can guide each step, and working with a developer or owner’s representative can take much of the burden off your shoulders. There are also financing options available, including insurance payouts, construction loans, or partnerships with experienced developers who manage the entire process and share profits with you.

In short, rebuilding may seem daunting, but with expert help, it’s a path that will restore the beauty of the palisades and your own, or lead to the highest return—and a stronger recovery for the community.

Who We Are

Rebuild Stronger is a coalition of real estate professionals with deep ties to both the Palisades and the Los Angeles real estate community.

We’ve witnessed firsthand how homeowners in the Palisades are navigating a difficult landscape—facing inflated construction costs, predatory insurance tactics, and a lack of clear options for rebuilding in the aftermath of the wildfires.

In response, we've launched a program designed to empower property owners by simplifying the redevelopment process and giving them more control, with whatever path they decide is best for them.

We're accepting participants into this initiative to help them navigate the daunting evaluation process and decide what is best for them, while moving forward with confidence.
